Terms of Service
Understand Deckumi's current service, account security, learning content and local storage before you begin.
Effective and updated October 19, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms cover the Deckumi website at deckumi.app, maintained by the Deckumi team, and take effect on October 19, 2026.
For service or account questions, contact [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled.
2. The current service
Deckumi currently offers flashcard creation, a library, favorites, search and review, with optional registration, sign-in, email verification and password recovery. You can also explore as a guest.
Signed-in Web libraries are stored with your account. Guest Web libraries and current native app libraries stay on the device. Signing in does not automatically upload or merge existing guest or device-local cards. Native sign-in does not currently enable native cloud sync.
Plus, quizzes, study notes, mind maps, podcasts and study buddy are not released. A Coming soon label does not mean a feature is available for purchase or use. Paid subscriptions and credit top-ups are not currently offered. Current free flashcard features do not require a credit purchase. There is no plan-based study-set quota; device storage and the technical limits shown in the product still apply. No commercial AI-generation credit allowance is included. Planned memberships, top-ups, and their availability are described on our Pricing page; a launch date has not been announced. Registration or use of free features does not authorize a future charge. Pricing and cancellation/refund terms will be displayed before any paid purchase.
3. Registration and account security
Use an email address you are entitled to use, provide accurate account information and complete required email verification. Google or Apple sign-in is subject to the selected provider's requirements. Available methods are shown on the sign-in page.
Protect your password, email account and devices. Do not share verification or password recovery links. Contact us if you believe someone else is using your account. Revoking a provider's authorization and deleting a Deckumi account are separate actions.
If the rules where you live require a guardian's permission to use this service, obtain that permission first. If you are unsure whether you meet local requirements, consult your guardian or a suitably qualified adviser before using the service.
4. Your learning content and local data
You retain rights to content you create and should have permission to use materials you import, copy or share. Do not put other people's private information, confidential materials or content you are not entitled to use into cards or support messages.
Keep original learning materials you need to retain. Clearing site data, private browsing, changing devices, browser failure or losing a device can make local cards unrecoverable. Signing out does not erase local cards; deleting a server-side account does not automatically erase copies on devices.
Accounts have separate browser storage, but this does not provide encrypted isolation from the device owner. Use shared devices with care.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Impersonate others, access accounts without permission or distribute authentication credentials.
- Bypass security measures, attack or abuse registration and email services, or disrupt operation.
- Use the service unlawfully or infringe privacy, intellectual property or other rights.
We may restrict relevant access to investigate security issues, stop abuse or meet legal requirements, explaining the reason where appropriate and practical.
6. Learning materials and intellectual property
The Deckumi name, Coco branding and website interface are protected by applicable rights. Third-party materials remain owned by their rights holders. Using the service does not give you ownership of others' intellectual property or give us ownership of your original learning content.
Sample cards and blog articles are learning references and may contain errors or outdated information. Check important information against original sources. They do not replace medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and do not guarantee examination or learning outcomes.
7. Availability and responsibility
We maintain the service, but maintenance, network failures, changes at third-party providers and other events may temporarily interrupt features. Do not use a local browser copy as the only copy of important materials.
Each party's responsibilities are determined by applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit mandatory consumer or data protection rights. Please contact us first about a dispute. Your right to seek remedies available under applicable law is not affected.
8. Stopping use and account requests
You can stop using the service, sign out or revoke authorization in a provider's settings. Contact the address above to request correction or deletion of a Deckumi account. We may verify your identity first.
Stopping use, deleting an account or revoking authorization does not automatically remove local flashcards. Manage copies on each device as needed.
9. Changes to these terms
We will update the terms and their date when the service or its rules change. Material changes affecting your rights will be communicated under applicable requirements, with permission obtained when required. If paid features are introduced, their prices, payment terms and related rules will be provided separately.
